This week my pick for Fabulous Friday is the always lust worthy and forever dramatic jewelry designs by the ultra creative David Yurman. I absolutely love how classically timeless and powerfully dramatic each and every pieces is. You can always spot a David Yurman piece by his signature sterling silver twist. Fabulous Friday - 4th of July Baking

Between my fashion magazines and wedding reads you may be surprised to know I have an extensive collection of cook books. After switching over to the vegetarian side of life during college, I became obsessed with learning how to cook and bake everything! These days cooking is second nature and I try to have a delicious home cooked meal on the table at least five nights a week. The weekends are usually saved for baking, which brings me to my first Fash Boulevard recipe post. I'm so excited that this weekend is the 4th of July. Not because I'm bursting to skip around with sparklers but simply for the fact that I get to celebrate my 9 year anniversary with my wonderful fiance. Yes, you read that right, 9 years! I wanted to bake something special for him which is how I came upon these beyond delicious Red Velvet cookie sandwiches. Justin loves Red Velvet cake and I thought this was an adorable spin. Plus they're a refreshing break from the usual 4th of July sweets. These yummy color appropriate treats are super easy to make and a delicious new way to get your Red Velvet fix. Below is the recipe if any of you bakers want to try them out. Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! I hope it's amazing. xoxo

Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

• 1 box Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup butter

Cream Cheese Icing

• 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
• 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
• 1 1lb. box of confectioner’s sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla

1. Melt butter; set aside to cool. Place cake mix, egg, cooled butter and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Mix by hand until well blended and dough is formed.
2. Form dough into a smooth 12-inch log on wax paper or parchment making sure it is even in thickness end to end. Wrap in wax paper. And refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
3. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease your baking sheets. And unwrap the dough log and set it on wax paper. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into slices about 1/4- inch thick. Place on cool baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
4. Bake, 1 sheet at a time, in center of oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool for 1 minute. And transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
5. To make the cream cheese icing, mix the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together in a large bowl. And add all of the confectioner's sugar gradually.
6. Spread the cream cheese frosting on the cookie. And top each frosted cookie with another cookie. Gently press together and roll in sprinkles (optional).

Fabulous Friday - Melinda Maria

It seems nearly every fashionable celebrity under the Hollywood sun has rocked a Melinda Maria design at one point or another and rightfully so. The young self taught jewelry designer creates some seriously stunning jewelry and I can't help but swoon over each unique piece. It's no secret that I'm totally and completely obsessed with jewelry, so of course when I see a celebrity rocking a stunning piece I instantly put Google to use, tracking down everything I can uncover about the gush worthy designer in question. Carrie Underwood, Chelsea Kane, Vanessa Hudges, Jessica Simpson, Kate Bosworth, Khloe Kardashian, Giuliana Rancic and Emily Blunt are just a few of the stylish Hollywood ladies sporting Melinda Maria pieces. When asked about Melinda's collection Disney star Vanessa Hudgen's revealed "The Pod Ring is one of my absolute favorites. It compliments every outfit and other piece of jewelry I put on." You may even remember a few of the pieces popping up in the Sex and the City sequel. If it's good enough for Bradshaw, it's more than good enough for me. The way each design effortlessly plays with different shapes and materials to achieve the stunning final product is beyond masterful. The best part is most of her collection is pretty affordable so you don't have to worry about consigning your favorite designer pieces in another desperate attempt to snag the celebrity look. Fabulous Friday - Naven

 Twin sisters Kym and Alexis McClay have struck fash lighting with their incredibly fabulous line, Naven. Filled with neon burst of colors from their bat-wing shirts to their sheath dresses, these blonde design darlings have created something much more than just another clothing line. I think I should thank MTV sweetheart Amber Lancaster for fueling my love for Naven. The stylish actress is always turning heads in their faint worthy designs. The super talented twins attended Pepperdine University and FIDM where they perfected their design skills and fueled their love for fabulous fashion. In 2007 the sisters launched their brand and its been a massive success ever since. The gorgeous ladies of E! News rock Naven on a weekly basis and the always fashionable Kristin Cavallari and Stephanie Pratt are also huge fans of the brand.

Kym and Alexis's European upbringing can be seen radiating throughout the collection. The mix of fabrics and use of amazingly eye catching colors are the signature of the brand. And of course when you're as talented and gorgeous as these lovely designers, you simply must model your own designs. I absolutely love the fun flowing fabrics, bubble skirts and short hem lines. It's no wonder all of young Hollywood is seriously crushing over Naven's spot on designs. I had to choose Naven as my Fabulous Friday because well... its fabulous!
